The actions will be published on (just in German) where are always more pictures than on this blog. If you want to take responsibility to take action for a specific date get in contact with them: 01577/6655450

Peruvian farmer sues German energy firm RWE

A court case, brought by the Peruvian farmer and mountain guide Saúl Luciano against energy firm RWE, started yesterday, November 24th in Essen, Germany. Melting glaciers are threatening his home and city. The causes are climate change and RWE’s huge carbon emissions.

One day, this glacier is going to cause a tsunami
The glacial lake above the city of Huaraz.
Melting and collapsing glaciers are threatening a flooding catastrophe rolling to the city of Huaraz. Saúl Luciano and 30,000 others are threatened to be killed. He is presenting a simple bill: The costs for the protective dam are to be paid by RWE to the extent that the Group is responsible for the global increase of CO₂ emissions.
Saul Luciano had come to Essen himself, but did not speak. His action is of fundamental importance. Never before has an individual complained against a company responsible for climate change.

That is why we are waiting the result in high suspense! RWE will fight violently, because this is a precedent, which may have far-reaching consequences. But there is already a reason to celebrate: for the first time a judge has declared that such a trial in principle is possible and the case can be negotiated.
With a simulation of what would happen (in minute 4:46):

Solidarity with SXE MAD

The occupants of the Hambach Forest in solidarity with Nahuel

On the 4th of November 2015, just over a year ago, the Spanish state began their wave of repression, the so-called “Operation ICE”, against a group of straight edge (drug-free) anarchists, SXE MAD.
4 of them got free under high payments, and 2 were transferred to preventive prison, where one got free under payment 2 weeks later.
The 6th comrade, Nahuel, is still in preventive prison.
The penitentiary system moves him to different prisons, to prevent comrades on the outside to get in contact with him.
No matter how hard they try, they will never stop our solidarity!

Freedom for Nahuel!
Freedom for all prisoners!
Tear apart the walls that keep us from each others!

Info Event about “Operation Fenix” on the meadow

For over 16 months the anarchists and others from so called Czech Republic have been facing the biggest police crackdown in recent years. The operation Fenix isn’t only the wave of repression. For the first time we are facing police entrapment, provocation, fabricated plots, and historically first “serious” accusation of terrorism. Why is all of that happening right now? Is the repression really the responsibility of the most militant part of the movement and does it help if we step back, or is there any other lance and way to deal with the authoritarian power of the state?

Come and join an ⒶBC reflection of one and a half year of accelerating repression and our reaction. Let’s talk about our protection and share some experiences of how to prevent falling into the trap. Now when the first court hearings are happening is especially important to see what kinds of solidarity actions we can provide to empower ourselves and keep our community strong instead of getting paranoid and paralysed.

The Talk will be mainly in English with a whisper translation into German.

4th of November, 7pm, Hambach Forest

Anti-Coal Mining Struggle on 3 Continents

„This Sunday and Monday (October 2nd and 3rd) a series of presentations, discussions and workshops took place in Cologne organized by an anti-capitalist alliance bringing activists from struggles in Bangladesh, Columbia and South Africa from regions affected by coal extractions, coal power plants and loading facilities. These communities have utilized multiplicity of tactics and by their persistence, resolve and presence stood in a way, slowed down and even stopped numerous projects. In effect, being living blockades of many of these large projects. Many grassroots of these initiatives, projects and direct action campaigns became a form of front line defense. Here are some of their stories: (more…)

E* is free!

Clumsy is free!

There is news of our compa Clumsy, who was arrested during the LAutonomia eviction. He was alleged to have chained himself together with three other people on the railway to the lignite power plant “Schwarze Pumpe” in order to prevent the coal feed. Another allegation was on trespassing because of the LAutonomia occupation.

Today, Wed. 07/20/2016 at 9 am, was the continuation of his trial. At the end Clumsy left the courthouse as a free one. On the sanction imposed by the judge of 120 days or 13,- € per diem will be taken into account the time (almost 6 weeks), which he spent in custody until the beginning of the trial last Tuesday, due to a risk of absconding. We are happy and we hope we can welcome Clumsy soon here in the Rhineland.

What happened before:

Report by ABC Dresden about the first day of the trial against Clumsy on July 12, 2016. Next date is Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 9 am, again before the Landgericht in Görlitz. Come numerously! Probably there will be again a high police presence and ID checks at the entrance.

Thus, J. made a great contribution to road safety).

The activist Clumsy has been in jail now for approx. six weeks. The trial will take place on July 12th. Appeal hearing: abatement of action!

DIY or dieAachen, July 01, 2016 – The case against Basti has been set today after several hours of hearing. He renounced compensation for having served innocently a custody of about a month and is now free without conditions.
Numerous supportive listeners were present, however, the involvement of the police and state security in the court was far more numerous. Two security gates together with identity checks caused delays in the start of the trial. There were no incidents.
The hearing took place similar to the first day of the first trial. There were two invited witnesses, both then working for RWE as security agents. Both witnesses had seen something, but could not confirm whether it in fact was Basti who struck the security guard, which led to the first instance sentencing. Both pretended that they heard this from the other one. Ultimately, the second witness testified to have seen that a stick had been raised. He later learned that his colleague allegedly was beaten and then guessed, that was what he claims to have seen. “A knallzeuge”, the judge, prosecutor and defender evaluated unanimously in the final talk. In legal terminology a knallzeuge (bang witness) is somebody who e.g. only heard the bang and then believes to be an eye witness.
The first witness (who had stated to have been injured) had seen Basti with a stick in front of him. However, he then got (from the other side) pepper spray in his eyes, after which he had to close them for several minutes. In this time he got the blow, he testified. The inquiring prosecutor noticed, that he impossibly could make any observation whatsoever.
There were numerous other inconsistencies that were more than clear already on the first day. It probably will remain a secret of that judge, why the trial at first instance ended in a conviction. Final word of the second witness: “In fact nothing happened at all, nobody was hurt, except for the pepper spray I do not understand why they made such a big thing out of it.” Almost nothing more is to to add. With his incident, however, started a long series of repressions against activists of the Hambach Forest. For Basti 20 months of repression in this matter are over now. (more…)
